TO MAKE THE BATTER.

gram flour 6-8 tablespoon

Pepper powder 1 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Water 1cup

TO MAKE THE SAUCE

tomato sauce 4 tablespoon

Soya sauce 1 tablespoon

Sugar 1 tablespoon

Chili flakes 1 tsp

Oil to fry

Now let’s see how to prepare this crispy vegan mushroom fry.

All you have to do is, wash the mushrooms thoroughly with water and put it in a sieve in order to drain the water.

Now let’s make the better, for that you need a bowl, add the gram flour, pepper powder, and salt into it, mix them together and then add a little bit of water and mix it again. If the batter is too thick add some more water as required until it comes to the correct consistency. The better should not be too thick at the same time it should not be too watery. It should be in a state where the better should get evenly coated once we dip the mushroom in it.

I emphasize, don’t add the whole water at once into the flour mixture.

And if you don’t have gram flour you can also use cornflour as well. But I prefer gram flour because of its unique taste and the crispness it gives to the mushrooms.

Moving on. Take the mushrooms to squeeze it nicely to remove the water in it. If the mushrooms are too big just make them into pieces and dip it in the batter and flip it until the mushrooms get coated with the batter evenly.

Meanwhile heat a wok on medium flame, once it is heated add enough oil into it and let the oil heat. All you have to do now is deep fry the mushrooms in batches until golden and crisp. Once all the mushrooms are fried transfer it to an airtight container to preserve its crispness.

Now we will make the sauce. Take a dish add tomato sauce, chili flakes, sugar and then the soya sauce and mix it well until everything combines well.

Now you are done with the main part, all you have to do is dressing up.

Take a serving bowl and place the fried mushrooms in it and pour the sauce mix over the mushrooms and gently mix it with a spoon. Let the mushrooms get coated with the sauce.

Now the delicious crispy vegan mushroom fry is ready. Serve it with hot ghee rice. You will love it. Don’t forget to try this recipe and share your comments
