Pot Roast recipe- High or Low for 8 hours? Recipe says High but I’m not sure… Need your advice !!

Question… I have a 3 pound boneless chuck roast. This recipe says high for 8 hours …. Instead of low for 8 hours. I scoured the comments and didn’t find anything helpful.
So my question is – Should I put my roast in for 8 hours on high or 8 hours on low?
I am thinking low because low and slow for tough meat, right?

That sounds like a normal sized pot roast. Go with low at eight hours. You can always turn it up to high later upon inspection. I’d rather you catch it not done than over done.

Do not cook a pot roast for 8 hours on high. Your instinct is good. 8 hours on low is right.
