Newbie here: this is too much chili for a 5 liter/5.3 quart slow cooker isn’t it? I put in 1 kg/2.2 lbs of mince/ground beef.

Nope you can fill that thing nearly to the top. Looks good!
Should be fine, I fill mine a bit more than this to make chili. I was very concerned the ceramic pot wasn’t there, then I realized I was seeing the wall or something reflected in the glass.
It’s a pretty bad pic but the beef is almost at the top.
…and I’m realizing as I type this that I’ve passed the maximum line.
It’s three cans of drained beans, two cans of diced tomatoes w/ juices, one and a half can of tomato sauce/puree (diluted tomato paste), frozen corn, frozen diced onions, and 80/20 minced/ground beef.
Nope. Just stir it so the bottom doesn’t burn….
Maybe itβs a bit late, but you could put your slow cooker on top of a cookie sheet to catch anything, just in case.
Fyi, slow cooker liners are a thing and help with cleanup a lot. I used slowcookers for years before I learned this, so FYI.
