I Feel I may have made a mistake
I am a noob, I wanted to make some pot roast stew and filled it with:
1. beef broth
2. baby dutch potatoes
3. mushrooms
4. black beans
5. pinto beans
6. celery
7. 2 pounds of mixed veggies with
8. 2 pounds of pot roast
My cooker is filled to the brim. I set it to cook for 10 hours so everything is nice and cooked but will this burn out the food on the outside? I poured a cup of water in to keep the stuff on the top from drying out but I’m not sure if that was a mistake as well

As long as you can close the lid, anything inside the crock-pot will cook down. There is the liquid you add, as well as the liquid that will be released from the food.
My opinion? You’re good.

If it turns out too soupy/liquid when it’s done, you can scoop out a little liquid and mix in some corn starch. Mix until it’s dissolved well and pour back in to the pot. Let it sit for a little and do it again if needed. The cornstarch will help thicken it up.
How did it turn out?
